Robert Erwin Sitz, 76, of Callahan, FL passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his residence in Callahan, FL under the care of Hospice of Florida. He was born November 24, 1948, in Attalla, AL to the late Paul Delmar Sitz and Marie Lucille McCauley Sitz. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a retired diesel mechanic. He enjoyed anything pertaining to hot rods and motorcycles. He also loved his bird, Phoenix and his dog, Wolf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Sitz; a son: Robert Erwin Sitz Jr. and 5-siblings: Margaret Semones, Carol Norton, David Sitz, Rebecca Caudill and Alvis Sitz.

He is survived by his caretaker: Sue Ann Gillette of Callahan, FL; his brother: Michal Steven Sitz of Atlantic Beach, FL; stepson: James Bryan III of Bryceville, FL; several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Pastor Kurt Carringer officiating.
