Michael Peter Sterlacci, Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away on November 13, 2025, at his residence in Yulee, Florida. Born on May 4, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, Michael's life was marked by his dedication to family, community, and service to his country.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Michael exemplified commitment and honor during his time of service. His experiences and values shaped not only his own life but also the lives of those around him.

Michael's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. Although he had a promising career with the Long Island Railroad, working his way up from an entry level job to a supervisory position, he retired early to become a "stay at home" dad before it was fashionable. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Susan L.K. Sterlacci, who was his partner through life's journey. Together, they created a warm and loving environment for their children, Jennifer Marie Sterlacci and Michael Peter Sterlacci, Jr., who carry on his legacy with pride. He also leaves behind two brothers, one sister and seven nieces and nephews.

Beyond his family, Michael had passions that brought him joy. He was an enthusiastic member of the Lionel Operators Train Society. His love for the music which he grew up with led him to take guitar lessons as an adult. His life-long love for cooking led him to enroll and graduate from the Culinary Institute of Long Island.

As we remember Michael Peter Sterlacci, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived—filled with love, service, and a commitment to the things he cherished most. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
