Mark Joseph Christ, III

Mark Joseph Christ, III, 82, of Hilliard, Florida passed away at his home on July 22, 2025. Born on June 27,1943 at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital to the late Mark Joseph Christ, Jr. and Dorothy Adele Reichert Christ. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a twenty-year federal employee working with the U.S. Navy. While living in Jacksonville, FL, Mark often volunteered with the Special Olympics. In his spare time, he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cruising, and traveling – especially in his RV. Mark’s greatest joy in life was his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mark centered his world around those he loved most.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Virginia Ann Abbot Christ; a daughter and son-in-law: Donna & Michael Kopf; a son and daughter-in-law: Michael & Nicole Christ; 4-grandchildren that he adored: Gabrielle Kopf, Evan Kopf, Marcus Christ and Elliott Christ and a sister and brother-in-law: Judith & James Brown.

Memorialization will be by cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held this fall with his family and friends in Maryland.
