Lonnie Ray Smith

Lonnie Ray Smith, 59, of Callahan, FL passed away on Thursday, January 08, 2026, at PAM Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on October 09, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late James Eugene Smith and late Alpha Omega Hare Smith. He was from the United States Navy. Mr. Lonnie loved completing crossword puzzles and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth James Smith.

He is survived by his brother: David Smith of Callahan, FL; three nieces: Jamie (Andrew) Mercer of Callahan, FL, Jessica Smith of Hilliard, FL, and April (Jeffery) Ray of Blackshear, GA; two nephews: Kenny (Taylor) Smith of Waycross, GA and Rodney Hatcher of Alma, GA; three great-nieces: Ariel Mercer of Callahan, FL, Taylor Ray of Blackshear, GA, and Nicole Capps of Alma, GA; three great-nephews: Brayden Smith of Blackshear, GA, Thomas Hatcher and Chase Hatcher both of Alma, GA; sister-in-law: Sonya Smith of Alma, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Memorialization will be by cremation.
