Kimberly Rachel Yawn

Kimberly Yawn, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 at the age of 49.

Born on May 14, 1976 in Huntsville, AL, Kimberly lived her life with laughter, love, and resilience. She was predeceased by her dad Wayne Smith Jr. and her mother, Victoria Smith, and is survived by her sister Jennifer Yawn Lucero (Sam), her cherished niece Kathryn Hansel (Tyler), and her adored nephews, Stephen Stokes(Kacey) and Evan Stokes(Caitlyn), and her father Geary “G.W.” Yawn.

Kimberly had a remarkable sense of humor that could brighten any room. She was a fighter and a hard worker, always meeting life’s challenges with strength and determination. She found joy in simple pleasures—spending time at the beach, shopping at the Flea Market, time spent with family and friends, and always having a place in her heart for animals (specifically her beloved cat, Biscuit). Her greatest love was her family.

Those who knew Kimberly will remember her laughter, jokes, kindness, and the love she gave. She will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Liver Foundation.
