Hal Edward Morton, Sr., 77, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at his home on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born in Richland, Washington on October 13, 1948, to the late Hallie Morton and Margaret Lawman. Hal worked in commercial construction. He was the best at what he did! He loved the outdoors. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and scuba diving. He was very particular and proud of his yard. He kept it perfect. Folks would often stop by and comment on how nice it looked. Hal was a member of Callahan Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years: Valerie Lyles Morton; son: Hal Morton, Jr. (Heather); daughters: Amanda Marshall (Michael) and Shonna Fetz (Chris); brothers: Richard Morton (Linda) and Charles Morton (Bonnie); 11 grandchildren: Joey, Zoe, Olivia, Hadassah, Nehemiah, Annalisa, Ezekial, Tobias, Zacchaeus, Eliana, and Stavros; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
