Clinton "Sonny" Pedie Carter, Jr., 67, of Callahan, FL passed away at his home Friday, May 8, 2026 following a lengthy illness.  He was born September 27, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Clinton Pedie Carter, Sr. and Theadys Gussie Ward Carter.  He was veteran of the US Army.  Mr. Carter enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outside.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister:  Patricia Smith.

He is survived by his wife of over 47 years:  Silvia June Carter; his daughters & sons-in-law:  Angel & Dennis Davis, of Callahan, FL and Felicia & Marty Beckner, of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren:  Raymond Beaumont, IV, Alexis Dixon, Lance Beaumont; a sister:  Johnnie Bowles and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 15 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home - Callahan Chapel from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home, 617365 Brandies Avenue, Callahan, FL.
