Catherine Estell Alvey

Catherine Estell Amrhein Alvey, 86, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was born in Baltimore, MD on November 10, 1939, to the late John Amrhein and Rena Rossi Amrhein.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband: Frank Webb Alvey; and a daughter: Rena Pressel.

She is survived by her children: Frank W. Alvey, III (Gina) of York, PA, Jerry Alvey (Debbie) of York, PA, Bruce Alvey (Barb) of Jacksonville, FL, Russell Alvey (Kim) of Hilliard, FL, and Darryll Alvey of York, PA; grandchildren: Dr. Becky Whitman, Frank Alvey IV, Mike Alvey, Kevin Alvey, Bruce Alvey, Jr., Blake Alvey, Wesley Alvey, Joel DePew, Rob Finnick, Jr., and Corey Lease; and great-grandchildren: Sophia Alvey, Lucas Alvey, Lizzy Lease, Corey Withers, Chevelle Alvey, Zoey Lease, Emmalee Lease, Sophie Alvey, and Lulu Alvey.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home- Callahan Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Milton Tucker officiating. Pallbearers will be Frank Alvey, IV, Blake Alvey, Wesley Alvey, Joel DePew, Robert Finnick, Jr. and Corey Lease.
