Carla Jean Flowers

Carla Jean Flowers, born Carla Jean Sloan, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on July 27, 1960, in Jacksonville, and remained closely connected to the city throughout her life.

Carla was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Sloan, and her mother, Barbara Bellcase Sloan.

She is survived by her sons, Brian Hickox and his wife, Rapsodie, and Eric Hickox and his wife, Selena. She is also survived by her sister, Teresa Vrable. Her family will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude, holding close the bond they shared with her and the place she held in their lives.

Carla will be remembered with affection by those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to her family and friends in the days ahead.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
