Brenda Faye Gates

Brenda Faye Allen Gates, 76, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia on January 31, 1950, to the late Bethel Allen and Faye Conner Williams. Brenda loved her family. Spending time and crafting with her kids and grandkids were her favorite things to do.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years: Gailen Henry Gates.

She is survived by her daughters: Meleah Jolly (Page) and Melissa Cowart (John “Poopie”); grandchildren: Kelsey Hayes, Michael Jolly (Taylor), Chloe Terrell (Dalton), Cody Cowart (Taylor) and Colby Cowart (Sarah); great-grandchildren: Karmin Hayes, Ryan Hayes, Evelyn Jolly, Carter Terrell, Hudson Terrell, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Ezra Jolly; sister: Shirley Lick; and brother: Joey Williams (Debbie).

A memorial service will be held will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Michael Jolly officiating.
